1. Which gloves do I get?
It depends on what you will use it for.
A. There are 3 main types of gloves.
1. Fighting or competition.
2. Sparring or Training Gloves
3. Bag or mitt gloves.
You can get one gloves for each purpose or get a crossover glove for multiple purposes.
2. What size/ ounce glove to I need?
A. Most competitions require on average 6 oz. gloves. depending on size of competitor it can range from 4-8 oz.

4.What size am I? Small, Medium, Large, XL?
A. Every glove fits differently. It is best to check a sizing chart of try on your friends glove to see how it fits, but in general if you want a tight fit go 1 size smaller, if you are going to wrap or tape your hand and then put the glove on then 1 size larger.
All competitors must fight in approved shorts, without shoes. Shirts, gis or long pants (including gi pants) are not allowed. Fighters must use approved light gloves, that include at least 1" of padding around the knuckles, (110 to 170 g / 4 to 6 ounces) that allow fingers to grab. These gloves enable fighters to punch with less risk of an injured or broken hand, while retaining the ability to grab and grapple.
